In English (Question & Model Answer)
To whom will you say the socially deprived class? Why does it originate in society?
Concept and Origin of the Socially Deprived Class:
Socially Deprived Class refers to historically marginalized groups (SCs, STs, OBCs, destitute women, disabled) who are systematically denied equitable access to resources, education, social prestige, political power, and economic opportunities.
- Root Causes of Its Origin in Society:
- Hierarchical Caste Structure: Rigid ritualistic stratifications based on birth, purity, and pollution relegated lower castes to menial labor and untouchability.
- Geographical and Cultural Isolation: Forest and hill-dwelling indigenous tribal populations remained detached from mainstream economic development.
- Monopoly over Land and Capital: Feudal land tenure systems (Zamindari, Jagirdari) created generational landlessness and bonded labor.
- Denial of Knowledge & Educational Access: Historical denial of literacy and Vedic/formal learning to lower strata perpetuated subjugation.
- Gender Inequality: Patriarchal cultural norms denying women property rights and bodily autonomy.
Remedial Goal: Affirmative action and constitutional justice (Articles 15, 16, 46) aim to dismantle these historical deprivations.
