The tomb of the Afghan ruler Sher Shah Suri is located in Sasaram, which is the administrative headquarters of the Rohtas district in Bihar. This magnificent red sandstone monument stands in the middle of an artificial lake and is regarded as an outstanding masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture. It was designed by the architect Aliwal Khan and built between 1540 and 1545 AD.

अफगान शासक शेरशाह सूरी का मकबरा बिहार के रोहतास जिले के प्रशासनिक मुख्यालय सासाराम में स्थित है। लाल बलुआ पत्थर से निर्मित यह भव्य स्मारक एक कृत्रिम झील के बीच में स्थित है और इसे भारत-इस्लामी वास्तुकला का एक उत्कृष्ट नमूना माना जाता है। इसका निर्माण वास्तुकार अलीवाल खान की देखरेख में वर्ष 1540 से 1545 के बीच कराया गया था।
