Six Democratic Freedoms under Article 19(1) of the Indian Constitution:

Article 19(1) guarantees six fundamental democratic freedoms to every Indian citizen, subject to reasonable restrictions under Articles 19(2) to 19(6):

  • 1. Freedom of Speech and Expression (Art. 19(1)(a)): Right to express one's opinions freely by words, writing, printing, or electronic media (includes Freedom of Press and RTI).

भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 19(1) के तहत प्रदत्त 6 मूलभूत स्वतंत्रताएं:

अनुच्छेद 19(1) प्रत्येक भारतीय नागरिक को 6 बुनियादी लोकतांत्रिक स्वतंत्रताओं की गारंटी देता है (युक्तियुक्त निर्बंधनों के अधीन):

  • 1. विचार एवं अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता (अनु. 19(1)(a)): अपने विचारों को बोलने, लिखने, छापने या डिजिटल माध्यम से व्यक्त करने का अधिकार (प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता व आरटीआई शामिल)।
  • 2. शांतिपूर्ण सम्मेलन की स्वतंत्रता (अनु. 19(1)(b)): बिना अस्त्र-शस्त्र के शांतिपूर्वक सभा या जुलूस आयोजित करने का अधिकार।
  • 3. संघ या संगठन बनाने की स्वतंत्रता (अनु. 19(1)(c)): राजनीतिक दल, व्यापार संघ (Trade Unions), संस्थाएं तथा सहकारी समितियां बनाने का अधिकार।
  • 4. भारत के राज्यक्षेत्र में निर्बाध संचरण की स्वतंत्रता (अनु. 19(1)(d)): देश के किसी भी भाग में बिना रोक-टोक घूमने-फिरने का अधिकार।
