मिश्रधातु (Alloy) की परिभाषा:
- दो या दो से अधिक धातुओं अथवा किसी धातु एवं अधातु का समांगी ठोस मिश्रण (Homogeneous Solid Solution)। इसका उद्देश्य मूल धातु की कठोरता, तनन सामर्थ्य और संक्षारण (जंग) प्रतिरोधकता को बढ़ाना होता है।
