Parliament's Powers on State Reorganisation (Articles 3 & 4):
- Forming New States: Parliament may by simple majority form a new State by separation of territory, alter boundaries, or change the name of any existing State.
- Presidential Reference: Bill introduced only on President's recommendation after referring it to the affected State Legislature for views (views are not binding on Parliament).

नवीन राज्यों के गठन व सीमा परिवर्तन हेतु संसद की शक्तियां (अनुच्छेद 3 व 4):
- राज्य पुनर्गठन की शक्ति: संसद साधारण बहुमत द्वारा विधि बनाकर किसी राज्य के क्षेत्र को अलग कर नवीन राज्य बना सकती है तथा किसी भी राज्य की सीमा व नाम में परिवर्तन कर सकती है।
- प्रक्रिया: ऐसा विधेयक राष्ट्रपति की पूर्व अनुशंसा पर ही प्रस्तुत होता है, तथा संबंधित राज्य विधानमंडल की राय संसद के लिए बाध्यकारी नहीं होती।
