- अवधारणा: यह कायांतरण का वह प्रकार है जो भ्रंश क्षेत्रों (Fault Zones) और विवर्तनिक प्लेट सीमाओं के सहारे अत्यधिक दिशात्मक/अपरूपक दाब (Shearing Stress / Directed Pressure) तथा अपेक्षाकृत निम्न तापमान पर घटित होता है।
