जीवद्रव्य कुंचन (Plasmolysis):
- जब किसी जीवित पादप कोशिका को अतिपरासारी विलयन (Hypertonic Solution) में रखा जाता है, तो बहिःपरासरण (Exosmosis) के कारण कोशिका से जल बाहर निकल जाता है, जिससे कोशिकाद्रव्य सिकुड़कर कोशिका भित्ति से अलग हो जाता है। इस परिघटना को जीवद्रव्य कुंचन कहते हैं।
